Title:
  Kernel update broke external USB keyboard visibility

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  The update from linux-image-6.8.0-54 to linux-image-6.8.0-55 make my USB
external keyboard not even powered on after grub step.
  lsusb shows no difference whether the cable is plugged in or not.
  Going back to linux-image-6.8.0-54 brings back the usability.

  $ lsb_release -rd
  No LSB modules are available.
  Description:    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
  Release:        24.04
