hello Daniel, Thankyou so much for the response. i used the older version because i was trying to setup xmrig miner with cuda and the latest cuda toolkit supported by my GeForce GT740M is version 11.4 and when i searched for cuda toolkit 11.4 on nvidia archive it said it works with 470.82.01 and there was no option to download any other driver. I am new to the linux ecosystem and i could not figure out that weather it will work with 470.256.xx and there was another issue that ever i could complie the minner with cuda 11.4 and driver 470.256.xx but on running the minner the device was just performin 12-18H/s where even a single thread on my cpu even performed 300H/s, so i thought my be this is a driver issue and uninstalled it, in order to try the other driver and check 470.82.01 if that works. but at last when i manged to install 470.82.01 the performance was same. So finally i updated the driver again and gave up on gpu mining just continued with the CPU mining.
