Hi, I just submit another issue about compression kconfigs in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-azure/+bug/2098178
The current EROFS non-Android use cases include systemd (https://github.com/actions/runner-images/issues/7587), containerd, and other open source projects (dracut, etc.) I hope EROFS can get better support in linux-azure, many thanks! ** Bug watch added: github.com/actions/runner-images/issues #7587 https://github.com/actions/runner-images/issues/7587 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-azure in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081613 Title: linux-azure: Enable erofs.ko to linux-modules package Status in linux-azure package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux-azure source package in Noble: Fix Released Bug description: [Impact] erofs is starting to see more use as a modern alternative to squashfs. Since squashfs is already included in linux-modules, let's include erofs in linux-modules as well so that it can be used as a filesystem in virtual machines with just linux-virtual installed. [Fix] Clean cherry-pick to the noble tree. [Test plan] Build and boot tested; also installed the generated linux-image and linux-modules packages to confirm that the erofs module could be loaded with "modprobe erofs". [Where problems could occur] Very small risk of regressions.
