** Description changed:

  [ Impact ]

RTL8125BPH 2.5 GbE controller is not functional.

  [ Fix ]

This introduce support for RTL8125BPH 2.5 GbE controller by adding:

  1. linux-firmware (already upstreamed[1]).
- 2. Driver patch[2], which is expected to have an v2.
+ 2. Driver patch[2] and its dependent patches.
+
+ The dependent patches includes:
+
+ 1. The PHY support for PHY ID 0x001cc841, which is needed for RTL8125BP
+ 2. Refactoring when support for other models (e.g. RTL8125D, RTL8125D rev.b)
+ were added.
+ 3. Dependent patches for the patch itself.

  [ Test ]

  1. Install the linux-firmware
- 2. Install the kernel containing proper driver patch
- 3. Test playback function of hedaphone and built-in speaker in the gnome
control center. They should function normally.
- 4. Test audio recording with headphone and built-in mic. The recording should
sound normal.
+ 2. Install the kernel
+ 3. Test basic network function (ping, firefox etc.)

[ Where the problem could occur ]

Error in the patches and firmware will make the said controller not
function properly, which happens to be the status quo.

+ To avoid conflict, the dependent patches include some commits for newer
+ models, in particular the RTL8125D and RTL8125D rev.b. That however
+ doesn't mean those models are readily usable for now.

  [ Additional information ]

- At the moment of writing of this description, the driver patch hasn't
- been ready yet. I open this SRU bug early to help track things. Will
- edit the links and description once everything is ready.
