Dear Ubuntu Team,

Thank you for your continued work on this amazing OS and congratulations
on the anniversary.

I am facing a problem for about a year maybe half already. When I
shutdown the computer (e.g. `shutdown 0`) everything seems to go well,
the screen turns off and everything seems to shut down okay, except for
just one led, the 'mute sounds', under F1 key on my keyboard, which
stays on. I can also notice that the computer is not fully off, as on
occasions the fan goes loud after the "shutdown" and the laptop gets hot
if left "shutdown".

The only way to truly shutdown the machine was for me to hold the power
button for a while. I am guessing that this has over time contributed to
my recent battery failure; now to properly shutdown the machine I need
to unplug the power cable.

So this is roughly how I experience the problem. As you can see I am no
expert in what's happening here. I will be happy to share more data and
work with you if you are interested in looking into this issue.

In any case, thank you once again and happy new year!

Best wishes
Paweł Wójcik
