Public bug reported: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS. Only able to boot in Advanced options for Ubuntu in 6.8.0-50-generic (recovery mode) or 6.8.0-49- generic. Unable to boot normally. This happened after I used sudo apt upgrade, sudo apt update, and sudo apt autoremvove. This has been an ongoing problem and I had to completely factory reset my laptop, to which it only worked if secure boot was off. If secure boot was on, it booted straight to the boot menu and I was unable to go leave the menu unless I turned the power off and back on again and entered the GNU GRUB and then advanced options. I saved the output of sudo apt upgrade which I believe is what caused the issue.
