@mikosenigma: this is quite strange: there are many reasons why one
speaker may not work, but it is more difficult to explain why muting one
loudspeaker would make the other louder.

Did you confirm that your hardware works correctly, if you run Windows?

If this is the case, you can run "qashctl" and adjust a large number of
parameters, of which:
1) in mixer "PulseAudio", the Master Playback Volume might be zero for one side
2) in mixer "acp3x-es83xx", you may look at:
  - Headphone Mixer Volume, Headphone Playback Volume, DAC Playback Volume: do
you have the same setting for both sides?
  - DAC Mono Mix Switch: it should be unchecked (but if I check it, I get the
same sound from both loudspeakers)
  - Left Headphone Mixer Left DAC Switch, Right Headphone Mixer Right DAC
Switch: both should be checked
  - Left Headphone Mux, Right Headphone Mux: you should have the same setting
(I have "lin-rin with Boost and PGA")

As far as I understand, the other settings either are symmetrical, or
are used just for input, capture, or similar features.

You may also try "qasmixer", it shows many nice sliders and some
switches in the bottom of the screen, but frankly I am not sure that I
may be of any use for you.

You may also try to check whether there is really no sound from the left
speaker, or just a very faint one (which may indicate a problem with
some volume setting). Using Audacity, you can create a sound with a
muted right channel to check that.

As I said, I had to try many tweaks before have my loudspeakers to work,
and I don't remember exactly which ones.

Bug description:
This laptop has had non-functioning internal sound (based on AMD
Renoir) until Ubuntu 24.04, which made it work thanks to a bugfix in
  the kernel.

Unfortunately, the sound is completely broken with kernel from package
  "linux-image-6.8.0-38-generic" (6.8.0-38.38): the internal speakers
are not even listed in the sound GUI (I am using "mate-volume-
  control", with Ubuntu-Mate.

When I boot the laptop on Linux 6.8.0-36-generic, the speakers are
listed and the sound works normally.

which is introduced in v6.8.5 stable updates.

  [Fix]
Invokes platform specific acp pin configuration check functions.
  Upstream fix:
09068d624c490 ("ASoC: amd: acp: fix for acp platform device creation failure")

  [Test]
