I had tried to understand the problem and got mislead to the wifi- drivers, but instead it was the btrfs-driver which had problems with the root partition beeing btrfs. I had to hard reset my system several times and ended in complete data loss as the btrfs got corruptet later. I changed root partition to ext4 now, but I think that bug is interesting to you guys. beowulf@hive:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.10 Release: 12.10 beowulf@hive:~$ apt-cache policy btrfs-tools btrfs-tools: Installiert: 0.19+20120328-7ubuntu1 Kandidat: 0.19+20120328-7ubuntu1 Versionstabelle: *** 0.19+20120328-7ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 Package: btrfs-tools 0.19+20120328-7ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-19.30-generic 3.5.7 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-19-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.6.1-0ubuntu6 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Dec 9 15:15:15 2012 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2012-12-08 (1 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Release amd64 (20121017.5) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: btrfs-tools UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) --- ApportVersion: 2.6.1-0ubuntu6 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: beowulf 2030 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: beowulf 2030 F...m pulseaudio DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2012-12-08 (2 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Release amd64 (20121017.5) MachineType: LENOVO 42435GG MarkForUpload: True Package: linux (not installed) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcFB: 0 nouveaufb 1 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.5.0-19-generic root=UUID=b264e011-b7a9-4acd-a6ab-915ea5ec49e2 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-19.30-generic 3.5.7 PulseList: Error: command ['pacmd', 'list'] failed with exit code 1: Home directory /home/beowulf not ours.
