Title: [ATI] GPU lockup with gfxpayload=keep Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Status in grub2 source package in Maverick: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Maverick: Won't Fix Bug description: Binary package hint: grub2 The addition of recordfail load_video set gfxpayload=keep to the new 10_linux file results in an unbootable system. If I edit out the three lines, I am able to boot properly. I have not yet experimented as to which line needs to be eliminated, although I suspect that it may be the load_video. Let me know if you need any more info. While I do not believe that it is relavent, I am using the xorg-edgers ppa.
