14e4:4727 Broadcom BCM4313 random AP disconnects and network hang

Status in Linux:

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Status in linux package in Arch Linux:

Bug description:
Using the brcmsmac driver I'm experiencing random AP disconnects and
network hangs. I can usually come out of a hang by reconnecting using
the network manager. I'm unable to try the STA driver as this appears
to be uninstallable at this time although I would prefer to use the
  free driver.

I got a lot of the following in kern.log during the issues
