This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-
hwe-6.11/6.11.0-9.9~24.04.1 kernel in -proposed solves the problem.
Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the
problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-noble-linux-
hwe-6.11' to 'verification-done-noble-linux-hwe-6.11'. If the problem
still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-noble-linux-hwe-6.11'
to 'verification-failed-noble-linux-hwe-6.11'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Status in linux source package in Oracular:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Hi,

  Could you please enable more EROFS compression algorithms for better
  compression ratios to end users on Ubuntu?

  CONFIG_EROFS_FS_ZIP_LZMA=y      (Kernel 5.16+)
  CONFIG_EROFS_FS_ZIP_DEFLATE=y   (Kernel 6.6+)
  CONFIG_EROFS_FS_ZIP_ZSTD=y     (Kernel 6.10+)

  so that users can use these algorithms directly with shipped kernels
  in addition to the default LZ4 one.

  Thanks in advance!
