During the update process I was in front of this laptop, and saw that
everything that is usually triggered the upgrade that went without producing
errors: nvidia module compilation, virtualbox module compilation, nvidia and
virtualbox'es modules signing with my MOK, initramfs being generated as well as
the grub entry.

I can try to force the initrd generating again but I don't know if this
will change the scenario since the extra modules and kernel headers are
installed.

I'll attach the dmesg of 6.8.0-47-generic later since right now I'm
using this laptop for work.

Title:
Kernel update through apt leaves the system with no working network
  connection.

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
I am using Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. After the upgrade to kernel 6.8.0-47
from 6.8.0-45, for the first time, Ubuntu was unable to recognize my
ethernet, wifi and bluetooth. None of these issues occurred before
since they were automatically recognized and configured by the
installer. The only solution I found was to revert to 6.8.0-45.
