Hi Arvid, thanks for taking the time to open this bug report! I marked this report as a duplicate of that: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2062951 The fix for this issue has been committed to our trees and should hit the updates PPA somewhere around Sep 30th. I'm closing this for now but please feel free to reopen the issue if the next update doesn't fix the problem. Thanks, Vinicius ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 2062951 Random flickering with Intel i915 (Gen9 GPUs in 6th-8th gen CPUs) on Linux 6.8 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2080598 Title: linux-image-6.8.0-44-generic breaks HDMI output (-41 works) Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: linux-image-6.8.0-44-generic breaks HDMI output. When I connect to the HDMI port on this laptop the external screen flickers briefly then I get "no signal". With linux-image-6.8.0-41-generic the HDMI out works as normal. DisplayPort over USB C seems to work, but only one of my two external monitors support that. There is no obvious error message in dmesg when this happens. I tried with both KDE and Gnome X11 and Wayland sessions (all 4 combinations). None of that makes a difference. I'm running in PRIME on-demand mode, and on this laptop the external display outputs are connected to the Intel graphics (not the nvidia graphics). That *is* configurable in UEFI settings, but I haven't tried changing that.
