Title:
Unreliable wifi with N mode enabled

Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
Intel N-100 Wirless card, although I believe the problem occurs with
  other wireless cards.

A wireless connection will have extremely unreliable speeds, and often
entirely drop connection for a period of time, which even a reboot
doesn't fix. However, when the N mode of the wireless card in
disabled, the wireless is steady and solid as a rock.
