Public bug reported:

On my ThinkPad running Ubuntu, the internal microphone works correctly
upon system startup. However, after the system resumes from suspend
mode, the microphone stops picking up audio. Although the microphone
indicator LED turns on when the microphone volume is lowered, it does
not pick up any sound.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Start the system and verify that the internal microphone is working
correctly.
2. Put the system into suspend mode.
3. Resume the system from suspend mode.
4. Attempt to use the microphone (e.g., through an audio recording or call
application).

Expected Behavior:
The internal microphone should continue to function correctly and pick up audio
after resuming from suspend mode.

Actual Behavior:
The internal microphone does not pick up any audio after the system resumes
from suspend mode. The microphone indicator LED turns on when adjusting the
volume, but no sound is detected.
