I do see in the messages, an error from the bluetooth driver. The error is:
[ 23.321790] Bluetooth: hci0: unexpected event for opcode 0x0000 1) Is this a new behaviour, that recently happened? If so, what changed? Did you add a new device, or upgrade the kernel, or any other packages? 2) I also notice that the machine has suspended and resumed. Does the connection issue only happen after the machine has suspended and resumed, or does it happen after it has freshly booted? 3) What devices do you have hooked up to bluetooth? 4) what device are you trying to connect? ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Philip Cox (philcox) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2077499 Title: [AR9285][Fujitsu Lifebook AH530] Bluetooth not working, turning on and immediately turning off Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Bluetooth not working, turning on and turning off [bluetooth]# scan on [bluetooth]# SetDiscoveryFilter success [bluetooth]# Discovery started [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering off [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering on [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering off [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering on [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering off [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering on [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering off [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering on [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering off [bluetooth]# hci0 type 1 discovering on hci0 type 1 discovering off ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 Package: bluetooth 5.72-0ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.8.0-40.40-generic 6.8.12 Uname: Linux 6.8.0-40-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3.1 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Wed Aug 21 11:07:18 2024 InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-07-30 (22 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS "Noble Numbat" - Release amd64 (20240424) InterestingModules: rfcomm bnep btusb bluetooth MachineType: FUJITSU LIFEBOOK AH530 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 PATH=(custom, no user) SHELL=/bin/bash XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-6.8.0-40-generic root=/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 SourcePackage: bluez UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 08/15/2011 dmi.bios.release: 1.19 dmi.bios.vendor: FUJITSU // Phoenix Technologies Ltd. dmi.bios.version: Version 1.19 dmi.board.name: FJNBB06 dmi.board.vendor: FUJITSU dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: FUJITSU dmi.ec.firmware.release: 0.14 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnFUJITSU//PhoenixTechnologiesLtd.:bvrVersion1.19:bd08/15/2011:br1.19:efr0.14:svnFUJITSU:pnLIFEBOOKAH530:pvr:rvnFUJITSU:rnFJNBB06:rvr:cvnFUJITSU:ct10:cvr:sku: dmi.product.name: LIFEBOOK AH530 dmi.sys.vendor: FUJITSU hciconfig: hci0: Type: Primary Bus: USB BD Address: E0:CA:94:AF:F8:1C ACL MTU: 310:10 SCO MTU: 64:8 DOWN RX bytes:511 acl:0 sco:0 events:23 errors:0 TX bytes:335 acl:0 sco:0 commands:22 errors:0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2077499/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
