Private bug reported: Multiplexed Combined Ranked DIMM (MR/MCR DIMM known as Intel Monument Creek DIMM)
MCR/MRDIMM presents as main memory. There is no special method of access or firmware or unique features. The novelty is that IO to the device is streamed at ~2X bandwidth and buffered/interleaved within the device to maintain throughput. To an OS, it should just look like an RDIMM for purposes of access and use. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Information type changed from Public to Private ** Description changed: Multiplexed Combined Ranked DIMM (MR/MCR DIMM known as Intel Monument Creek DIMM) + + MCR/MRDIMM presents as main memory.
