This is not a bug, it is behaving as Intended The ORICO-BTA-SW01 is not a typical bluetooth adapter Instead, it is a Bluetooth Audio Transmitter Adapter
It shows itself as a USB Audio device, and any audio sent to it will be transmitted to a bluetooth device paired to the receiver As such pairing handled by the device, not the OS It is also only used for Audio, other Bluetooth devices like Keyboards or Mouse cannot be used with it In essence, it is a USB soundcard and a bluetooth audio transmitter glued together in 1 dongle -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1979631 Title: Orico Switch5.0 Bluetooth adapter doesn't work Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I bought Switch5.0 Bluetooth adapter (https://www.orico.cc/us/product/detail/7400/BK.html) which identifies under lsusb as: 10d6:dd00 Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd BT90 It doesn't work under Ubuntu 22.04. The Bluetooth icon doesn't show up and when I try to run blueman-adapters it shows: > blueman-adapters blueman-adapters 11.38.00 ERROR Adapter:54 __init__ : No adapter(s) found The weird thing is, that it creates new audio device BT90 in Pulse settings. (I think, that the device might share same identification codes as different audio device: https://linux-hardware.org/?id=usb:10d6-dd00) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 22.04 Package: linux-image-5.15.0-37-generic 5.15.0-37.39 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.15.0-37.39-generic 5.15.35 Uname: Linux 5.15.0-37-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu82.1 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: petr 1703 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: petr 1703 F...m pulseaudio CasperMD5CheckResult: unknown CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Thu Jun 23 11:33:41 2022 InstallationDate: Installed on 2017-05-29 (1850 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 17.04 "Zesty Zapus" - Release amd64 (20170412) MachineType: HP HP Z240 Tower Workstation ProcFB: 0 i915drmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-5.15.0-37-generic root=UUID=d1e354f4-cbcc-4f35-b360-8e2f15dca61e ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-5.15.0-37-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-5.15.0-37-generic N/A linux-firmware 20220329.git681281e4-0ubuntu3.2 RfKill: SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to jammy on 2022-05-02 (51 days ago) dmi.bios.date: 12/15/2020 dmi.bios.release: 1.81 dmi.bios.vendor: HP dmi.bios.version: N51 Ver. 01.81 dmi.board.name: 802F dmi.board.vendor: HP dmi.chassis.asset.tag: CZC710BW19 dmi.chassis.type: 3 dmi.chassis.vendor: HP dmi.ec.firmware.release: 5.56 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnHP:bvrN51Ver.01.81:bd12/15/2020:br1.81:efr5.56:svnHP:pnHPZ240TowerWorkstation:pvr:rvnHP:rn802F:rvr:cvnHP:ct3:cvr:skuT4L18ES#ARL: dmi.product.family: 103C_53335X G=D dmi.product.name: HP Z240 Tower Workstation dmi.product.sku: T4L18ES#ARL dmi.sys.vendor: HP To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1979631/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
