Think this is actually a duplicate of 2009952.
I haven't tested 6.x with the kernel parameter suggested, but everything
else described matches. So nothing to do with gnome-shell.

I'm tracking down the multiple causes of screen flashes and audio
interruption on my ubuntu 22.04 laptop.
