I have twice installed Linux Mint on an 2011 iMac. It is 21.5 inch with AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB graphics and 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5.
Every time I install Linux Mint, it boots correctly a couple times but then simply displays a totally blank screen when booted up. Once this happens, the system will not boot correctly again. Ubuntu works fine, why is Linux Mint broken? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1743427 Title: Black screen with iMac 2011 and ATI Radeon 6970M Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Using Ubuntu 16.04 through 17.10, when I boot the screen is black, ping and ssh to the host does not work, and the fan is running.
