Today I updated Ubuntu from 5.4.0-150 to -152.169 and the screen is _completely blank_ after reboot. Starting in recovery mode, the screen works but I get an infinite loop trying to update some (unspecified) video driver. I went through the whole process twice using different mirrors. I have reverted to -150 and everything is fine. For obvious reasons I cannot give you any output from the failing kernel. Were any drivers removed from -152? FYI on the working kernel: ~$ sudo lshw -c video [sudo] password for brian: *-display description: VGA compatible controller product: Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Graphics & Display vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0 version: 0e width: 32 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm msi vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=i915 latency=0 resources: irq:94 memory:90000000-903fffff memory:80000000-8fffffff ioport:2050(size=8) memory:c0000-dffff To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2024306/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
