  Touchpad laggy

Bug description:
  Since installation via upgrade of Kubuntu from 22.10 to 23.04, laptop 
touchpad input been very laggy.  Mouse input by USB has no problem.  Hardware 
is an 81V5 Lenovo V155-15API running Kubuntu 23.04 kernel 6.2.0-20-generic
  Problem apparent also when running either Ubuntu (Gnome) 23.04 or Kubuntu 
23.04 from USB flash drive.  No issue when running 22.10, new owner so untested 
with 22.04 etc.
