Well,
Bios update did not improve the behaviour.
But I finally upgrade kernels to 3.8 (after a complete backup) and no
more freeze since this upgrade (http://askubuntu.com/questions/119080
/how-to-update-kernel-to-the-latest-mainline-version-without-any-distro-
upgrade/142000#142000).
So for me case closed.

It's been some months, I'm experiencing complete freeze with my Ubuntu
PC : mouse, keyboard are not responding, the fan accelerates to the
max. It seems to me that it occurs randomly. Not exactly though
because it never freezes when the screen is locked !
