This bug was fixed in the package nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 - 390.157-0ubuntu3
--------------- nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 (390.157-0ubuntu3) lunar; urgency=medium * debian/templates/control.in: - Drop armhf and i386, except for the i386 compatibility libraries. The driver is no longer supported by NVIDIA, and this should solve the kernel build failures (LP: #2006695). -- Alberto Milone <alberto.mil...@canonical.com> Mon, 20 Feb 2023 14:45:32 +0000 ** Changed in: nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 (Ubuntu Lunar) Status: In Progress => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2006695 Title: nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 fails to build with kernel 6.1 in lunar Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-390 source package in Lunar: Fix Released Bug description: [Impact] Trying to install nvidia-dkms-390 with linux 6.1 in lunar produces the following error: error: ‘struct acpi_device’ has no member named ‘children’ This is due to the kernel ABI changes in the ACPI layer (along with other dependencies on GPL-only symbols). [Test case] $ sudo apt install nvidia-dkms-390 [Fix] Support linux 6.1 ABI by disabling ACPI support with kernels >= 6.0, until nvidia releases a new driver with the proper support for 6.x kernels. [Regression potential] We may experience regressions (crashes, graphic issues or incorrect behaviors) with 6.1 kernels that are using nvidia-dkms-390.
