I'm not complaining about a 37 second boot time, but I am curious why
most of it is these two lines:

  Since upgrading Intrepid to Jaunty, the boot process is taking a very
  long time with lots of disk-grinding between the message saying
  "Activating swapfile swap" and "Starting AppArmor".
