This bug is awaiting verification that the linux- aws-5.19/5.19.0-1019.20~22.04.1 kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-jammy' to 'verification-done-jammy'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-jammy' to 'verification-failed-jammy'.
If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. So the memory map and some peripherals depend on the FPGA design loaded. * Microchip releases reference designs and are upstreaming support for running Linux on it. Unfortunately the upcoming v2022.10 release changes the memory layout compared to earlier versions, but v6.1-rc1 contains patches for it. * We'd like to support the v2022.10 release and hopefully future versions by backporting these changes. [ Test Plan ] * Update the Icicle Kit to the v2022.10 reference design and check that the generic riscv64 kernel boots. [ Where problems could occur ] * Users who are running v2022.9 or older versions of the reference design may have trouble booting, but the Icicle Kit was never officially supported by Ubuntu.
