This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-nvidia/5.15.0-1011.11 kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-jammy' to 'verification-done-jammy'. If the problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-jammy' to 'verification-failed-jammy'.
If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Also the below messages were shown both in console and journal/dmesg every second: usb 1-3: Device not responding to setup address. usb 1-3: device not accepting address 4, error -71 usb 1-3: device descriptor read/all, error -71 usb usb1-port3: unable to enumerate USB device Wifi is soft blocked by checking rfkill. When unblocked manually, after few seconds it would be soft blocked again. So I was suspecting something triggered rfkill to soft block wifi. At the end it was fixed by removing hp_wmi module. The root cause is the way hp-wmi driver handles command 1B on post-2009 BIOS. In pre-2009 BIOS, command 1Bh return 0x4 to indicate that BIOS no longer controls the power for the wireless devices.
