However, when trying to deploy it with the HWE kernel it will complain that: Subarchitecture(xgene-uboot) must be generic when setting hwe_kernel. Not sure if this is a bug in MAAS, or some by-design limitation. If I set the sub-arch to arm64/generic, the deployment for Xenial + hwe-16.04 will drop into a boot loop with error message in console: append: nomodeset ro root=squash:http://10.229.32.21:5248/images/ubuntu/arm64/hwe-16.04/xenial/stable/squashfs ip=::::mcdivitt35-kernel:BOOTIF ip6=off overlayroot=tmpfs overlayroot_cfgdisk=disabled cc:{'datasource_list': ['MAAS']}end_cc cloud-config-url=http://10.229.32.21:5248/MAAS/metadata/latest/by- id/chbcrm/?op=get_preseed apparmor=0 log_host=10.229.32.21 log_port=5247 --- console=ttyS0,9600nBad Linux ARM zImage magic! hyper-maas MAAS version: 2.9.2 (9165-g.b5dc1fd6c) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1922910/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
