That's the latest Nvidia driver and the latest kernel, so I am wondering
what else is unique about this system since no one else seems to be
reporting the bug.

After upgrading my Linux kernel to version 5.15.0-41, I am no longer
able to get into the UI. After booting and unlocking the disk I end up
on a black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left corner.
