Running dmesg is not possible as this results in an I/O error, so it seems that it is related to the nvme driver / disk. Running the 5.18 kernel from launchpad gives similar results, with that kernel the nvme also stops working after battery sleep. The problem doesn't happen when the laptop sleeps, but is connected to the mains power, sleep isn't affected.
