This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-oem-5.13/5.13.0-1023.28
kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and
update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the
tag 'verification-needed-focal' to 'verification-done-focal'. If the
problem still exists, change the tag 'verification-needed-focal' to
'verification-failed-focal'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

Title:
shiftfs module is not built because CONFIG_SHIFT_FS is not set

Status in linux-oem-5.13 package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in linux-oem-5.13 source package in Focal:
  New

Bug description:
Shiftfs is built and included in all other ubuntu kernels that I know
of and if I'm not mistaken is sponsored by ubuntu mostly for use with
LXD containers, which is my use case. It also included in the linux-
oem-5.10. Is there a reason shiftfs is not included in the 5.13 oem
  release?
