Public bug reported: Dear Ubuntu Pros,
after 33 years of using MS products I am now trying to get familiar with Linux. I've installed it on a notebook which previously ran a W10 (with working touchpad, wlan, and sounds). The hardware is listed here: https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=9e28b4c911 Ubuntu didn't recognise the WLan radio, I manually installed the driver, it runs now. I've tried to find out why can't the touchpad be recognised, without any results until now. The sounds are not working on the built-in speakers, but it goes through a Bluetooth device. Thanks you and best regards, Balazs ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: linux-image-5.11.0-41-generic 5.11.0-41.45~20.04.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.11.0-41.45~20.04.1-generic 5.11.22 Uname: Linux 5.11.0-41-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.21 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Thu Dec 16 21:17:16 2021 InstallationDate: Installed on 2021-12-14 (2 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS "Focal Fossa" - Release amd64 (20210819) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=hu_HU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: linux-signed-hwe-5.11 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: linux-signed-hwe-5.11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-signed-hwe-5.11 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1955075 Title: Touchpad not found at all Status in linux-signed-hwe-5.11 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Dear Ubuntu Pros, after 33 years of using MS products I am now trying to get familiar with Linux.
