[ 9.994975] iwlwifi 0000:04:00.0: Failed to run INIT ucode: -110 first I thought it was something with secure boot however I didn't change anything in the bios and checking showed that it is infact disabled, also running sudo mokutil --sb-state shows SecureBoot disabled anyways I found out that I had an update of the package linux-firmware from 1.187.16 to 1.187.15 the day before. Downgrading to 1.187 (for unknown reason I couldn't find the binary of the old version 1.187.15 on my notebook nor on the internet anymore), and reloading the module as described in https://openterprise.it/2019/04/linux-reload-intel-wireless-card- kernel-module/ brought the wifi back.
