You have been subscribed to a public bug: I have a Toshiba S55 A5176 laptop.
The Grub2 menu shows up ok. But the only way that I am able to boot Ubuntu 13.10(live or installed) is if I disable the NIC(using BIOS). If the NIC is enabled, then the screen stays black. I am however able to boot in Fedora 20 almost every time. Sometimes, the same issues happens with Fedora too. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- Ubuntu 13.10 does not boot on Toshiba S55 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1282852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
