If I pull down the system menu and select Suspend. The laptop (HP Omen) suspends. When I close, then open the lid, the red power button lights, but the screen does not restore. No key have any effect. The same thing happens for a configured system, but this is simpler, being self-contained, and demonstrates the problem. Ubuntu 21.04 ubuntu-21.04-desktop-amd64.iso What do I expect? I expect to be able to close the laptop lid, have the computer suspend, and, when the laptop lid is reopened, have the session restored and operable.
