Did yet another zsync from cdimage on 14 February and install on a different hard drive and partition. Still no syslog.

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Having problems just lately with tahr. It's been running fine for months. Screen wil lock up. Ctrl-Alt-F1 log in, doesn't ask for password. Have to reboot. Does not reboot successfully. Do an e2fsck from another partition comes up clean, no errors.
