Public bug reported: After a kernel update, I noticed that the Linux Mint Ulyssa startup screen was almost completely green instead of black. Then my desktop wallpaper looked normal. However, whenever I would open a black page in a browser or a document on my desktop, it would be filled up with green pixels and horizontal green lines with large portions of the black screen colored in green. White pages would have vertical pink lines.
I thought the screen connector was faulty. However, after checking the History of Updates, I noticed that a Kernel update (5.4.0-64.72) happened just when the screen issue started to occur. I therefore tried and install the previous Kernel (5.4.0-62.70) to see if this would solve the problem. And it did! No more green pixels on black screens, nor vertical pink lines on white screens. Release of Ubuntu used: Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon v 4.8.6 Kernel: 5.4.0-64-generic Processor: Intel© Core™ i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz × 2 Memory: 7.6 GiB Graphic Cards: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
