Shorty after penalvch requested to try this in Saucy I had a new working kernel version from release update on my system installed - long time I did not update. I do not remember exact version, but since then surprisingly also old versions worked. To ensure I tried to boot up in old kernel versions (e.g. 3.2.0.44, 3.2.0.45) which had problems but old versions are booted up. It is a strange feeling not to catch the bug. It seems that it is lost forever, maybe it was fixed through other package in the meanwhile. This is what I think. Since these times I observed system behaviour and no problems came up anymore, I updated serveral kernel versions without problems. Currently running stable on version 3.2.0.58.
