Hello,
the 4.15.0-33 kernel is pretty old (the latest 4.15 kernel is 4.15.0-122).
Can you try to upgrade your system first to see if this can fix your touchpad
issue?

Installed Ubuntu on old Dell Latitude D630. All working except
touchpad. Doesn't appear to be recognized.
