Title: Unable to boot lubuntu trusty daily build 17.01.2013 on celeron M 1300Mhz Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The error message is: "This kernel requires the following features not present on the CPU: pae. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for you CPU. The System has a Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processor 1300MHz with the following cpuid information: 00000001 00000695 00000812 00000000 a7e9fbbf The CPU should be PAE capable (as many other Pentium/Celeron M CPU`s are) The problem is that cpuinfo often does not correctly report about PAE capability of Celeron/Pentium M. I know there exists a long bugreport for this since 12.04, but since it`s not listed as an open defect for trusty in the qatracker, i repost to raise awareness. Since trusty will be a LTS release, please take into account that you lock out thousands of users with such cpu`s (older thinkpads for example) for a long time and such users will either need to do lot`s of work to make lubuntu run on such a system, or they will (more likely) switch to a different distro like debian. So, please someone either care for this issue _now_ to have it fixed for 14.04 or please close the existing bugreport and reject it as invalid/won´t fix instead of putting users off from month to month and making them waste their time with reading this bugticket or adding information to it.
