I kept using the kernel 3.8 and it works fine. I have a Fujitsu M2010. The problem is acpi related since it boots with acpi=off, but does not with any of noapic, nolapic, noirqpoll. But with acpi=off, resolution is wrong etc then. I also tried other distributions and all hang when the kernel is 3.11 Symptoms are equals to the ones reported in bug 1237336.
