Gnome wayland hangs with nvidia driver on video load/changing tabs

Status in nvidia-graphics-drivers-418 package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
This is on nvidia 430, which is only packages in PPAs so far.

I've reproduced this by just playing a Youtube video (Not using
wayland enabled Firefox, but Beta snappy version) or by switching tabs

The video or hangout continues but the screen is fully locked up.
Switch to other VTs does not work.
