It was a 'live' QA-test so re-running the test may not result in the
same detail, and is extremely unlikely to match PID.

I can try to do it again (tried same tests using same ISO on two
different boxes, it does re-occur but not very often). It occurs most
often on dell 755's (I have 3 but two in particular), dell 960 (most
common where I stop media from playing before I suspend which causes it
to occur extremely rarely). I've learnt to live with it.

dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e6850, 5gb, amd/ati radeon rv516/x1300/x1550) -
lubuntu 18.04 (occurs rarely as I usually don't suspend this one)
dell [optiplex] 960 (c2q-q9400, 8gb, amd/ati cedar radeon hd
5000/6000/7350/8350) - ubuntu 18.04 lts & ubuntu 19.04 (my main box so occurs
here most)
dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e8300, 8gb, amd/ati radeon rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
- runs debian-testing; occurs a lot here as i suspend this heaps too; but not
ubuntu; this is the box I ran qa-test on.

Changing bug-status to confirmed as I can't apport-collect in a
meaningful way in my opinion because it was a 'live' qa-test. I'll re-
run tests on request if I'm told what to try and re-create & save.

Title:
Ubuntu 19.04 qa:test - suspended system resumed without audio (i fixed
  via add of pavucontrol)

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Ubuntu 19.04 QA-Test (LIVE x86_64)

  Dell optiplex d755, (c2d-e8300, 8gb, Radeon HD 2400 PRO/XT)
Two dell displays, left is landscape, right is portrait

This live test had two packages added: `vim` & `ubuntu-restricted-
  extras`

  Background:
I added ubuntu-restricted-extras so I could run requested test on this system
which had me streaming videos from utube - it was required to get around H264
errors (vim because I can't cope with other editors & added `multiverse` to my
sources.

  Issue:
With firefox streaming ABC News 24 (local AU news) I suspended machine.
Waited
Awoke machine - everything resumed as expected .. Some circling was apparent
on firefox before picture resumed, however no sound.

I was unable to fix it using any tools installed - to fix I `sudo apt
install pavucontrol`, went to Configuration (or last tab) and
Profile=Off on the drop-down menu, then returned to
Profile=AnalogStereo Duplex. This is something I do on occasion for
this machine on installed system or other machines I use.

This is really a minor issue, & may not be an issue on an installed
system (though I come across it semi-regularly & just live with it).
In regular use I pause/stop sound & know this makes this almost a non-
issue (almost never happens when sound isn't playing).
