I have a similar issue with Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 20HR-002RMX, Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock 40AC0135EU and linux- image-4.15.0-44-generic: The screen(s) go blank on the login screen (at the latest).
