Dear Christian, Thank you for telling me where to look for the information you need. Too many responses tell me what to do not how to do it. I confess - I am a Linux newbie! But I am a Mentor for Unix and Software Development with over 35 years experience - just not in Linux. _usr_bin_caja.1000.crash <https://drive.google.com/a/ieee.org/file/d/1UhqA37IFPcxj9gQU3HHJwyU1WZA1MlDU/view?usp=drive_web>
Did all of the above. The ubuntu-bug crashfile got an internal error for every caja crash file. The most recent caja errors reported are the following: https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/abe3e456-ccdd-11e8-90cd-fa163e102db1 https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/7bd7b408-ae07-11e8-8b93-fa163e0ec2f1 https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/6e6a234e-a977-11e8-bf5a-fa163e839e11 https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/9ab98eb0-9ea7-11e8-b5db-fa163e0ec2f1 https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/bef57afe-8012-11e8-bd79-fa163ebeb28a https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/5db970b8-5882-11e8-947f-fa163e30221b https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/7ec754de-50bf-11e8-9f5e-fa163eec78fa In the past I used caja to copy about 3TB of data. This took over 3 days with caja and 1 day with the Terminal cp -1nR command. With a 6TB drive mounted, the caja time extimates are in weeks. I need a stop-calendar in place of a stop watch. This is an indicator of a serious design flaw in disk I/O in ubuntu. I shudder to think of the time estimates if I mounted a 12TB drive.
