Title:
Ubuntu 17.10 audio stops working after 4.13.0-36 kernel update

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Notebook: Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming - A20P

Everything working fine with the 32 version of the driver, but
upgrading to 36 gives a lot of problems. The first one I noticed was
that I was logged out my session after some seconds logged in the
first time after the upgrade and reboot. Then, my audio just stopped
working, and there was no sound board to switch, just some "Dummy".
Neither connecting an earphone nor installing
  alsa/pavucontrol/pulseaudio worked for me.

Had to downgrade to version 32, then it all worked again.
