The same issue on Lenovo M30-70. I run Linux Mint 19 (cinnamon) parallelly on the same notebook. After upgrade to kernel 4.15.0-24 it hangs too. But here it boots with a prior kernel without problems and I turned off the upgrade to 4.15.0-24.
