Public bug reported: [Impact] We enabled ThunderX2 vendor events in LP: #1747523. That was sufficient for A2 silicon, but needs an update to recognize B0 silicon.
[Test Case] Successful output on ThunderX2 B0 silicon: $ sudo perf list | grep thunderx2 thunderx2 imp def: $ [Regression Risk] This teaches existing code about a new SoC, which should mitigate regressions for all other platforms. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: dann frazier (dannf) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided Assignee: dann frazier (dannf) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Assignee: dann frazier (dannf) Status: In Progress ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Artful) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Artful) Assignee: (unassigned) => dann frazier (dannf) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Assignee: (unassigned) => dann frazier (dannf) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1760712 Title: perf vendor events arm64: Enable JSON events for ThunderX2 B0 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in linux source package in Artful: In Progress Status in linux source package in Bionic: In Progress Bug description: [Impact] We enabled ThunderX2 vendor events in LP: #1747523.
