My brightness control keys (fn+F3, fn+F4) are not getting detected. After reading about how keypresses are handled by the Linux kernel, I used showkey to check the scancodes of these keys. I did not get any output. Similarly no output from xev, evtest and acpi_listen. Just for your reference, other keys like volume up (fn+F9) are working alright. --- ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.5 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-12-14 (65 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20160719) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_uvm nvidia_drm nvidia_modeset nvidia Package: linux (not installed) Tags: xenial Uname: Linux 4.8.0-040800-generic x86_64 UnreportableReason: The running kernel is not an Ubuntu kernel UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1665530/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
