I'd like to perform a reverse bisect to figure out which commit upstream fixes this regression. It would be very helpful to know the last kernel that had this issue and the first kernel that did not. Can you test the following kernels and report back? We are looking for the last kernel version that has the bug and the first that does not:
v4.11 final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.11 v4.12 final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.12 Thanks in advance! ** Tags added: performing-bisect -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1705117 Title: ubuntu 17.04 : Boot failed with luks disk Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Ubuntu 17.04 with kernel 4.10.0-21-generic #23-Ubuntu boot successfully with my lucks partition. I enter the pass and it works. But all kernels after this one failed to boot. I enter the pass and then it freeze. I guess it is a kernel issue.
